Simon Grayson is still considering whether to offer American trialist Mike Grella a contract.
The 22 year old has been on trial at Leeds in recent weeks and scored a hat trick in his reserves debut against Barnsley.
He`s already won international recognition for the USA at both under 18 and 20 levels.
Grella has already been offered a contract by Canadian side FC Toronto but has shown a desire to play in Europe.
Grayson watched him again this week in a behind closed doors friendly against Hull City and speaking in the YEP he said “He played in a behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday against Hull and he did okay to be fair.
‘He’s a young kid who we’ve been watching closely in training and he’s certainly got an eye for goal. It’s an option that we could possibly go down but concluding a deal is not always that easy.’
Grella is also rumoured to be interesting a number of Premier League clubs whilst he`s been on trial at Leeds.
