Leeds reserves beat Grimsby Town 4-0 on Wednesday with young American striker Mike Grella again impressing.

Grella continued his impressive form in the reserves scoring two more goals to make it five in two games after scoring a hat trick against Barnsley on his debut.

The 22 year old opened the scoring after five minutes when firing in from 20 yards.

Leeds were 2-0 up in the opening fifteen minutes when Jonny Webb got on the end of a Peter Sweeney (remember him?) cross.

The away side made it 3-0 with just under twenty minutes remaining after good work from David Prutton, his back heel fed Nathan Cartman who made no mistake.

Grella completed the scoring with ten minutes left on the clock to complete Leeds fifth reserve team win in a row.

With Jermaine Beckford also returning for the weekend game will Simon Grayson be tempted to play Grella and Beckford has an attacking partnership?

Team – Lucas, Darville, Webb, Michalik, Sheehan, Hatfield, Prutton, Falkingham, Sweeney, Grella, Cartman

Substitutes – Lees, Milne, R. Jones, S. Jones, Whitwell
