Mike Grella finally scored his first senior goal for the club on Saturday and is hoping to play a part in Leeds push for promotion this season.

The 22 year old American came to the club in January and scored five goals for the club in his first two reserve games against Barnsley and Grimsby Town.

Grella struggled to make an impact during the second half of the season making only twelve substitute appearances, but after a good pre season for himself he can`t wait for the new season to begin.

Speaking on the official website Grella said ‘There is a feeling we will get promoted and maybe I feel that more now because I feel more of a part of it.
‘I feel very good and I’m happy enough to play my role. I feel I’ve done well, I’ve been good around the ball.
‘I feel fantastic and I’m sure the whole team does.’
Now that he`s off the mark with his goal against Burnley Leeds fans will be hoping that he can carry on his good form into the new season.
