Leeds United manager Simon Grayson will not take any chances with Andy O`Brien or Alex Bruce as they face a fitness fight ahead of the busy festive period.

O`Brien as been forced to sit out the last two games since suffering a thigh injury in training and as returned to parent club Bolton Wanderers for treatment.

Bruce suffered a groin injury in the warm up before last weekend`s game with Queens Park Rangers and despite starting the game he was forced off within ten minutes of the start due to the injury.

Both players are believed to be doing some work as they try to regain full fitness but Grayson is not willing to take any chances on their fitness.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “We will see where we are with them both over the next few days. “If there`s any doubt we will not play them.”

Leigh Bromby came in on Saturday and he impressed in the win over Rangers, helping the side to keep only their fifth clean sheet of the season.

Leeds have just four players currently on the sidelines and they are all central defenders with long term injured Patrick Kisnorbo and Richard Naylor continuing with their rehabilitation as well as O`Brien and Bruce.
