Leeds United boss Simon Grayson felt his side were unlucky to come away with nothing from their rearranged away fixture at Birmingham City.

Leeds lost 1-0 to a 35th minute Nikola Zigic goal and despite having plenty of possession, they could not find a way back into the game.

Speaking on the official website , Grayson said, ‘I thought we played well.
“The players worked extremely hard and had a lot of possession. They make it difficult for you, but we thought we were well and truly in the game.
‘We created some decent chances, their goalkeeper made a couple of very good saves, but in the end we maybe just didn’t get the breaks we deserved. We certainly didn’t deserve to lose the game.”

Leeds found it tough to break down a well-organised and physical defence and when they did, they found Birmingham goalkeeper Boaz Myhill in great form.

Adam Clayton and Ross McCormack both stung the hands of the keeper, as Leeds could not find a way to get back into the game.

The defeat brings to an end Leeds seven match unbeaten run and they remain in fifth place in the championship.
