LUFC Grayson unhappy with performance

Simon Grayson was a far from happy man after Leeds struggled to overcome the Football League`s lowest ranked club Darlington in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.

Grayson made a number of changes for the game, some through injuries to usual first team players and the chance to give some of the fringe players a chance to push for a first team place.

But after a lacklustre performance by some, Simon Grayson speaking on the official website was quick to criticise some of his players when he said “It wasn`t good enough. We won the game, but when players get the opportunity to come into the side I expect them to come to the forefront and take a grip of the game”.

Two players coming into the side, Andy Robinson and Tresor Kandol scored the goals that put Leeds through. Kandol impressed in the first half in his first start since the 2008, he was replaced at half time though after suffering with a sickness bug.

Leeds injury crisis also worsened with debutant Davide Somma having to be replaced soon after coming on with a hamstring injury.
