Leeds United boss Simon Grayson may have to bring in another goalkeeper in on loan with both Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs still injured.
Schmeichel is still struggling with the foot injury that has ruled him out of the last six games and is still a doubt for the trip to Middlesbrough next weekend.
Higgs suffered a hamstring injury in last weekends defeat at Ipswich with on loan keeper Jason Brown replacing him in goal for the final half hour.
Higgs is ruled out for three weeks and if Schmeichel is still ruled out next weekend it will leave Grayson with just Brown to pick from.
With third choice keeper Alan Martin on loan at Barrow until the New Year, Grayson will look to either bring back the Scottish under 21 international or bring in another loan keeper.
Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Grayson said, ‘If Kasper’s going to be out for a couple more weeks then we’ll have to go down the route of either bringing Alan back or bringing in more loan cover for that position. It’s not always an easy thing to do.
‘But we’re not going to do anything until after the weekend. There’s no point. We could have some good news (about Schmeichel) on Monday and then we’d have wasted a loan signing.’
Leeds have recently been linked with a youth loan deal for Liverpool keeper Deale Chamberlain.
