Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted with the performance of his centre backs, Patrick Kisnorbo and Andy O`Brien.

The experienced pair have found themselves out of the team in recent months with youngsters Darren O`Dea and Tom Lees forming a good partnership at the heart of the Leeds defence.

Kisnorbo earned a recall last week after the injury to O`Dea and with Lees suspended for one game following his sending off against Blackpool it also earned a recall for O`Brien who hadn`t played since August.

Grayson was delighted with the performance of the pair who stifled the Leicester City attack. Speaking after the game Grayson said, ‘The two centre-halves (O’Brien and Patrick Kisnorbo) have not played so much over recent weeks and months and they were outstanding,’ Grayson said.
‘Andy O’Brien has been training really well and deserved his place in the team. He is a tough character and has worked hard. I backed him and he backed me with his performance.’

Kisnorbo looked back to his best against his former club, including one clearance off the line.

O`Brien also looked much fitter than the one who struggled through the early periods of the season. He was eventually substituted with fifteen minutes remaining by another defender who hasn`t featured much recently, Leigh Bromby.

The performance of the duo will give Grayson a nice headache to have with Lees and O`Dea available again after the international break.
