Simon Grayson was disappointed with his players and accused them of being sloppy, lackadaisical and naive after throwing away two points in the final ten minutes against Hull on Tuesday night.

Leeds were looking to make it three wins in a row, and they looked to be on their way when they led 2-1 with Hull reduced to ten men for the final twelve minutes after the sending off of Paul Bostock.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, ‘It’s a game we should have won. When they went down to 10 men we got sloppy and lackadaisical and if you do that you’re bound to get punished. It’s cost us two points we should certainly have picked up.”

Leeds had gone behind in the opening fifteen minutes after a wonder strike from Bostock.

Bradley Johnson got Leeds back on level terms just past the half hour with a firm strike from the edge of the area.

Leeds dominated the second half and deservedly took the lead when Andy O`Brien scored his first goal for the club since joining on loan from Bolton Wanderers.

Johnson who had earlier equalised for Leeds was the villain as he sliced the ball into his own net to make it 2-2 following a scuffed Hull corner.

Grayson was left disappointed with the final ten minutes, ‘That’s down to our naivety because we didn’t exploit their weakness with 10 men or work them hard enough. I can’t fault the effort, commitment or attitude of the players and once we went 2-1 up, I couldn’t see us losing our lead. But we should have stamped our authority on the rest of the game,’ he continued.

Leeds have now picked up just one point out of a possible twelve in their last four games and despite their poor home form are still in eight place just one point outside the play off positions.

They will hope to put an end to their poor home form on Saturday when they welcome struggling Bristol City to Elland Road.
