Leeds United manager Simon Grayson praised the supporters following the season finale at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Leeds were once again followed by a vociferous sold out away end and Grayson described the fans as fantastic.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, “There a fantastic group of fans, both home and away. It is no coincidence that fifteen or sixteen of our away games this season have been the highest home attendances of our opponents.
“That`s because we are a big attraction, we take large numbers and eventually this football club will be back in the Premiership where it deserves to be because of the fan base and the club that we are and hopefully will be again.”

Leeds sold out twenty-one of their twenty- three away games this season with only Swansea and Crystal Palace failing to sell out.

Despite the two games not selling out, nearly 3,000 travelled to Swansea for a lunchtime kick off, for a game being shown on Sky Sports and over 5,000 travelled to Crystal Palace on a Bank Holiday.

Leeds also finished with the highest average home attendance in the Football League this season with 27,299 people on average attending games at Elland Road.
