As Simon Grayson and Leeds gets set to make the short trip back across the Irish Sea again, he is relishing the prospect of two tough tests for his side.

Last summer the Whites under former manager Gary McAllister visited the Emerald Isle coming up against Shelbourne, Bray and Galway United and faced 3 competitive and entertaining games which proved very beneficial to their pre season training.

Grayson speaking on the official website said: ‘It’s a six-day period that is vital to our plans and preparations for the new season. It’s important to get the boys away together for a period and it’s an opportunity for some hard work in different surroundings.”

With both Shelbourne and Glentoran having two good seasons, the matches promise to be very entertaining ones. The Leeds players will be sure to get a good test and the Leeds fans are sure to get good value for money in these pre season friendlies.

The Whites will play Shelbourne on either July 14th or 15th and Gentoran on July 18th.
