Simon Grayson is looking for a minimum of a play off place as Leeds get ready for the new season.

Leeds travel to Southampton on Saturday and Grayson is looking for an improvement on last seasons seventh place finish that saw them finish just one place outside the play offs.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “All clubs will start with expectations and everyone wants to do as well as possible.
“The Premier League is the place to be and that`s where every club wants to be.
“We have progressed season by season over the time I`ve been here and we`ll be looking to do the same again this season.”

Despite Leeds finishing seventh in the championship in their first season back in the second tier of English football, they are not amongst the favourites for promotion.

In a very competitive division, Leeds are around tenth favourites with big spending Leicester City and West Ham United the favourites for promotion.
