Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is hoping that his side can produce the same response as they did the last time they were defeated by Cardiff City.

Leeds lost their unbeaten twelve match run to Cardiff City on Tuesday night when they went down 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

It was their first defeat since losing to Cardiff in October when Leeds were suffering a slump in form.

Next time out, Grayson changed Leeds tactics and they responded by putting four past Scunthorpe on their own patch.

Leeds will return to championship action on January 15th against Scunthorpe and Grayson is looking for the same response to the one in October. Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “It was disappointing our unbeaten run came to an end at Cardiff, but our last run started at Scunthorpe, that`s our next league game and we`ll look to go again.”

Leeds won six and drew six in their unbeaten run that as seen them climb into the play off places.

In a tight division, any side that can put an unbeaten run together can quickly see themselves climb up the table and Leeds will now want to get back to winning ways when Scunthorpe visit Elland Road.

Leeds will then hope to claim all three points at Portsmouth a week later. The two clubs played over the festive period and Leeds twice threw away a two-goal lead, eventually having to settle for a point in a 3-3 draw when Andy O`Brien put through his own net in injury time.
