Leeds United boss Simon Grayson admits the club face a tough start to the 2011/12 season.

Leeds make the long trip to Southampton on the opening day, a club who enjoyed promotion from League One last season.

Norwich, Leeds and Millwall all showed last season the momentum that a club can take from promotion the previous season.

Relegated from the Premier League West Ham are next up away from home as well as another three games in August against teams that are spending money and fancied to be amongst the front-runners in the championship next season.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “It`s a tough start.
“But there`s no easy games, so it`s a good start and one that we are really looking forward to now we know.”

The Championship looks to be the toughest one ever in a division that is always wide open.

Promoted sides Brighton and Southampton will expect to do well and the three sides relegated from the Premier League will be looking for a quick return to the top flight.

There will not be many clubs out of the twenty-four that line up in the Championship next season.
