Leeds United boss Simon Grayson felt his side thoroughly deserved the victory after finding themselves behind early in the second half after dominating proceedings against Doncaster Rovers.

Grayson thought the game should have been out of sight by half time after creating a number of good chances but they were once again caught napping close to half time and then again at the start of the second half.

The Leeds boss speaking after the game said, ‘The game should have been won by half-time. We were disappointed when it was 1-1 at half-time and even worse when it was 2-1.
‘But the players showed great spirit and determination and I thought we were outstanding. It could have been any score.
‘We wasted good opportunities, got hit with the sucker punch for the second goal, but in the end it was a deserved victory.’

Leeds took the lead early on through Max Gradel and had an host of further chances to extend the lead during the half.

They were then caught both sides of each half as Sharp and then Moussa scored for Rovers.

John Howson restored parity almost from the kick off and then further goals from Becchio and then Howson and Gradel again gave the score line a much truer reflection.
