Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is hoping to reward the Elland Road faithful on Saturday as they once again look set to turn up in large numbers.

Leeds are averaging over 25,000 again at home this season and have had the highest attendance in the Championship so far this season when over 33,000 turned out for the game against Sheffield United.

With league leaders QPR visiting Elland Road on Saturday and Leeds the form side in the Championship at the moment the club are expecting a turn out in excess of 30,000.

It is a remarkable figure when you think what the weather is like at the moment and it is also the last weekend before Christmas. Grayson commented on the official website when he said, “We`ll have around 30,000 which is a great effort when you consider it is the Saturday before Christmas. I hope we have a result waiting for those people that are coming.”

Leeds continues to be supported on the road as well and have sold out every away allocation they have received this season including allocations of over 6,000 at both Barnsley and Coventry City.

Although opposition fans do not like to admit it, we also continue to be a major draw for our opposition as well and we have been the highest gate at nine of our eleven away fixtures so far this season.

The only two away games Leeds have failed to be the highest gate at this season have been at Doncaster and Norwich.

The Doncaster gate was only recently eclipsed by Swansea when Doncaster was doing a ticket promotion when they charged adults £10 and children £1 to try to fill the ground.

Although the Norwich game was not the home sides highest of the season, at the time it was their highest gate ever as an all seater stadium and was only beaten when they faced local rivals Ipswich Town the following week.

Leeds have already sold out the allocation of 9,000 tickets for the upcoming FA Cup tie at Arsenal with over 13,000 fans applying for tickets.
