Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is hoping that Leeds can kick start their run in with a win against fellow promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Leeds go into the game in fifth place, one point ahead of Forest and Grayson is hoping that a win can put the pressure on the sides above them as well as a bit of breathing space above Forest.

Speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “Saturday`s game is the start of the final eight league games for us and you want a good result to set us off.
“It is, however, a great opportunity to pull away from a club that is close to us and hopefully close the gap on Norwich.”

Leeds are six points behind Norwich in second place and if March is anything to go by then there is bound to be a few twists and turns ahead.

All the sides chasing promotion behind Queens Park Rangers dropped points during March with Leeds and Norwich both gaining the most with seven from a possible twelve.

Grayson now believes that only the second promotion spot is up for grabs with Rangers nine points ahead of Norwich, “You have to think QPR are in a position now where they won`t be caught, but I`m sure Norwich will be looking over their shoulders,” he continued.

At the same stage last season, Leeds lost at home to Swindon 3-0 before winning five of their remaining seven games to win automatic promotion from League One on the final day.
