Simon Grayson is hopeful of keeping loan star Max Gradel after his initial one month loan period with the club finished after last night`s game with Grimsby Town.

Grayson speaking on the official website said “We`ve had a conversation with Nigel (Pearson) at Leicester and we`ll have another one, and see if we can extend it”.

His loan spell should have finished after Saturday`s trip to Swindon Town but due to international call ups, the loan finished a game early.

Grayson continued “We don`t need to press ahead, we haven`t got a game on Saturday and it will be Leicester`s decision”.

Gradel has become an instant hit with the fans, with outstanding cameo performances from the substitute bench against Norwich, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil.

He made his first start against Grimsby last night and was once again instrumental in the sides victory.
