Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is confident ahead of the new season and is hoping to add two more players to the squad before the trip to Southampton on Saturday.

Speaking on Sky Sports News Grayson said, “We are in a good position; I think with one or two new signings on the horizon, it will make us better and stronger.
“Keeping our best players has been our biggest intention, by keeping Snodgrass and Gradel, that`s been the most important thing for me that we`ve been able to do that and I`m obviously delighted with the acquisitions as well.
“We didn`t need major work being done on the team that finished the last season.”

Leeds have brought in three players this summer, signing Paul Rachubka, Andy Lonergan and Michael Brown.

Grayson admitted earlier today that a deal to bring defender Darren O`Dea in from Celtic is almost complete and he is hopeful of bringing in one more.

When asked whether players would be coming in before the weekend, he continued. “Yes, we will definitely have one, we are close to doing a deal at this moment in time and it just needs to be signed, sealed and delivered and then hopefully there will be another one but we will have to wait and see on that one.”

Leeds have still to announce whether trialist Alexandre Mendy will be signing a deal for the club after the winger was involved in four pre season games.
