Simon Grayson was gracious in defeat after his Leeds United side were deservedly beaten on Saturday at Walsall.

Leeds who went into the game on the back of three straight wins put in a lacklustre performance against their League One strugglers.

Speaking on the teamtalk website Grayson said ‘I told the players before the game that we could expect a battle, and we certainly got one. Full credit to Walsall, they started the game brightly and we did not get going with the energy we have shown in the last few weeks”
Leeds faired slightly better in the second half with Jonathan Douglas probably having Leeds best chance, continuing Grayson said ‘In the second-half we got round the pitch more, won more second balls and had some sustained pressure but didn’t get the breaks.’
Leeds now have a quick chance to put things right when they go to another struggling side Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.
