Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was full of praise for his players after seeing his side beat Hull City 4-1.

Grayson and the players were under pressure after losing their opening two league games of the season but the side showed no sign of nerves as they brushed aside the Hull threat.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, “Full credit to the players, obviously it`s been a disappointing start to the season, it`s there for everyone to see but the performances haven`t been too bad.
“I said after the game on Saturday if it had been 10 v 10, 11 v 11 we would have won the game against Middlesbrough, I thought we played well. It`s a great testament to the players tonight, credit to all of them.”

Grayson was forced into three changes before the game with Max Gradel, Jonny Howson suspended and Leigh Bromby injured.

Ramon Nunez made his first championship start for Leeds, there was also a debut for new loan striker Andy Keogh and Aidy White made his first appearance in eleven months.

Leeds went ahead through Ross McCormack before defender Tom Lees put through his own goal to bring Hull level.

Lees atoned for his error by firing Leeds ahead for a second time, five minutes before half time.

Robert Snodgrass gave Leeds some breathing space in the opening minute of the second half with a superbly struck free kick and Nunez wrapped the game up with a fourth.
