Leeds United boss Simon Grayson felt the early second half goal from Max Gradel put his side on the front foot that eventually saw them secure all three points with three second half goals after trailing 2-0 at half time.

Luciano Becchio and John Howson with four minutes remaining turned round a dramatic game at Turf Moor.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, ‘We have players in the team that can score goals and an early goal put us on the front foot.
‘From then on we grew from strength to strength. It’s a difficult place to come and we did feel at half-time we had a good opportunity to come back into it.
‘We had to make sure we had better energy levels. Our fans keep driving us forward home and away.
‘We showed good quality, we got the early goal which gave us a lift and we could have scored three or four more in the second half.
‘We’ve got players who can affect the game and obviously it’s a great result against one of the best teams in the division. I’m delighted to come here and win.”

Leeds had gone in at half time 2-0 down after conceding twice in the space of eight minutes around the half hour.

The second half though saw Leeds throw caution to the wind as they produced a fine battling performance that could have quite easily have seen them win by more.

Robert Snodgrass saw an effort come back off the bar whilst Ross McCormack also saw an effort cleared off the line.

Leeds were almost undone in injury time when Thompson missed a great chance to equalise for the home side but it was the 4,000 travelling Leeds fans who went home happy.
