Simon Grayson was left frustrated and disappointed with Jermaine Beckford after the 29 goal leading goalscorer went from hero to villain in the space of three minutes.

Leeds were struggling to break down a resolute Swindon defence when Robert Snodgrass hung up a ball to the far post and Beckford was there to bury his seventh goal in five games since serving a three match ban for his elbow on the Millwall keeper David Forde in February.

With ninety minutes almost up on the clock Beckford was given offside by the linesman in a marginal decision which Beckford didn`t agree with which led to him punching the ball away and remonstrating with the linesman.

Beckford had already been booked earlier in the half for a tackle on Swindon defender Amankwaah and left referee Keith Stroud no option but to produce a second yellow card followed by a red.

Speaking on ITV.com Grayson said about his star striker ‘I thought the first booking was a bit harsh because he got a bit of the ball, but the second was needless and now he has to serve a one-match ban, which is disappointing.’

Beckford will now miss next weekends League One clash at in form Crewe Alexandra with the Whites hoping to continue their pursuit of the top four.
