Leeds United boss Simon Grayson hailed his strike trio after the three of them all managed to get on the score sheet at the weekend.

Since bringing Max Gradel, who normally plays on the wing into the striker position at Yeovil, he has responded by scoring three goals in four games.

Luciano Becchio who suffered a horrific injury in the game at Norwich in March when he was knocked unconscious and swallowed his tongue as also responded since his return by scoring five goals in four games.

Leading goalscorer Jermaine Beckford who has been going through something of a barren spell since the New Year, was recently demoted to the substitute`s bench, he`s responded in great fashion by scoring three goals in his last two substitute appearances.

Beckford`s two goals on Saturday took his tally for the season to 30, the second season in a row that he`s reached the milestone.

The form of the strikers have given boss Grayson a great dilemma ahead of the final two games of the season and it seems his decision to drop Beckford after his run of poor form as been vindicated.

Speaking on the official website he said, ‘Decisions have to be made sometimes and it was a predicament, but Luciano and Max have done well. They’ve worked so hard and they’ve got goals.

‘On Saturday they were both terrific again and our leading goalscorer is coming off the bench and scoring goals.

‘I’m sure the opposition must worry when a 30-goal striker is coming off the bench.’

Leeds now have just two games remaining and know that maximum points will guarantee their return to the Championship after a three year absence.
