Leeds United manager Simon Grayson was a delighted man after his faltering Leeds side of late, got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic.

Speaking in the official website, Grayson said ‘It was a very professional performance and we’re delighted to get back to winning ways.

‘We were all disappointed with the last two home games, but delighted with the result on Tuesday and the way we played as well.”

It was only Leeds second league win of 2010, a result that moves them four points clear of third placed Colchester United on level games.

Leeds had to wait until early in the second half before breaking the deadlock when Luciano Becchio was on hand to tap in after Brill in the Oldham goal could only parry a Beckford cross.

Becchio wrapped the game up just past the hour mark when he got his head to a Robert Snodgrass cross.

Grayson was also quick to praise the Leeds fans who despite the recent run of poor performances at Elland Road stuck with the side throughout and encouraged the players with their support.

Leeds will now hope to push on after this win and face a tough test at local neighbours Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
