Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted with the response of his side in the draw at Doncaster coming just three days after the mauling at Barnsley.

Grayson made five changes after the Barnsley defeat and he got the response he was looking for from his players.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, he said, “When we had possession of the ball we created some good chances and looked like we were the team that was probably going to win.”

After weathering the first ten minutes, Leeds settled into the game and looked the more likely winners with the lively Davide Somma causing the Rovers defence problems all evening.

Three of his five changes to his side were in defence and he was particularly pleased with that aspect of the game, “When we didn`t have the ball we was solid as a unit. I don`t think the keeper`s hardly had a save to make all night, after the other night we will take a clean sheet and a point,” he continued.

Grayson thought his side had clinched all three points when Davide Somma had the ball in the back of the net, only for the assistant to have his flag up for offside.

Leeds can now get ready for their third Yorkshire derby in a row when they entertain Sheffield United next Saturday.
