Leeds United manager Simon Grayson was delighted with the overall performance of his side in their 4-0 home win over Scunthorpe United and admitted it could have been more.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Grayson said, “W had to make sure we did the ugly side of the game, we fought, ran, tackled and closed people down.
“Eventually we got the opportunities and on another day it could have been five, six or seven.
“Obviously I`m delighted with the overall performance and a clean sheet.”

Leeds took a long time to get into their stride and scored with their first meaningful effort on goal in the seventeenth minute with Sanchez Watt firing in from distance.

Within twelve minutes, the game was over as a contest after Max Gradel and Bradley Johnson had added to the score line.

Leeds had to wait until the final few minutes of the game to add a fourth through Davide Somma but it was an excellent result and performance to put them on level points with Cardiff City and Norwich City in third and fourth.
