Leeds United boss Simon Grayson was delighted with Leeds first pre season friendly of the season.

Leeds came away with a 2-0 win at Scottish First Division side Falkirk with an own goal and a rare header from Robert Snodgrass securing the win.

Grayson was delighted with a number of aspects, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, “I`m delighted we got a couple of goals, delighted we kept a clean sheet, and delighted to see some players back out there in a Leeds shirt.”

Grayson used the game as an opportunity to given everyone some time on the pitch with twenty-one players getting time on the pitch.

Ben Parker and Patrick Kisnorbo continued their progress from lengthy lay offs by starting and completing at least 45 minutes.

There were also debuts for new signings Paul Rachubka and Michael Brown.

Four youngsters who have come through the academy and earned their first professional contracts at the end of last season also enjoyed time on the pitch.

It was also an opportunity for a number of players who failed to make an impact on the first team last season to show their capabilities.

Ramon Nunez, Aidy White, Adam Clayton and Tom Lees all spent time out on loan last season and enjoyed at least fourty-five minutes with Nunez especially catching the eye.

Leeds will now stay in Scotland for their second pre season friendly of the season, when they face Scottish Premier League side Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday.
