LUFC Grayson confident of adding to squad
Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is confident that he can bring in new players ahead of the transfer window closing next Monday.
Grayson as so far brought in Andy O`Brien on a two and a half year deal as well as extending the loan of George McCartney for the remainder of the season.
With Leeds having no game next Saturday, Grayson can now concentrate on bringing in the fresh blood.
He as also been busy with players leaving Elland Road, Lubomir Michalik and Liam Darville have both been released and Andy Hughes left to join Scunthorpe on Friday.
Speaking in the YEP Grayson said, ‘Andrew Hughes left to go to Scunthorpe so we need to fill his shoes, and there are other areas of the field where I want to bring players in. A free week is an opportunity to do that and I’d like to think I’ll be able to.
‘We’ve been linked with good players in the window and attracting good players to Leeds United has never been a problem in the past. I hope it won’t be a problem in the next week or so.’
The manager might be busy arranging more players leaving as well with him looking for a loan deal for Mike Grella after last weeks move to Motherwell fell through.
Tom Elliott and Alan Martin both returned to Elland Road after loan spells at Rotherham and Barrow respectively for the first half of the season.
