Leeds United boss Simon Grayson claims the club are close to adding more signings to the squad.

Grayson indicated that more than one player is at an advanced stage.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio after the pre season win at Motherwell, Grayson said, “We`ve had conversations with the relevant managers and hopefully we will get somebody in.
“We are progressing nicely; we are just waiting to get the green light for the go ahead in terms of both parties.”

Leeds have so far added just two players to their squad this summer with goalkeeper Paul Rachubka and midfielder Michael Brown signing for the club.

With just three weeks to go until the opening game of the season, Leeds are still short in a number of areas.

Paul Rachubka is currently the only senior goalkeeper at Elland Road and after the long-term injury to striker Davide Somma; it leaves Leeds short on goal power, with Ross McCormack and Billy Paynter firing more blanks than a 100-metre starter pistol.

Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds recently as has former Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner.
