LUFC Grayson – Bruce was stupid

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson had no complaints about Alex Bruce receiving a red card in the defeat at Ipswich Town on Saturday and described his second yellow card as ‘stupid`.

It was the defenders first appearance back at the club he left in the summer and it was to be shortened after receiving two yellow cards and his marching orders on 80 minutes.

Speaking on Radio Leeds, Grayson said, “Both were probably bookings and a little bit stupid in terms of the second one.
“When you`ve already been booked you`ve got to stay on your feet.”

The sending off came as a blow to Leeds who had just managed to get back on level terms in the game through Robert Snodgrass.

Leeds were to be punished within minutes when Tommy Smith headed home the winner for the home side and condemn Leeds to their first back to back defeats of the season.
