Simon Grayson is happy that his players can have a small break after a busy period over the past month.

Leeds have no game now until February 1st after Arsenal knocked them out of the FA Cup last week, giving them a free weekend.

With Leeds handily placed in the Championship in fifth place, Grayson believes that the break as come at a good time after playing eight games in the last month including long trips to Cardiff in midweek and Portsmouth last Saturday.

Speaking in the YEP, Grayson said, ‘It’s come a good time. The games we’ve had have been hard physically and mentally but the players will get a bit of a breather now and should be refreshed and ready to go next Tuesday.’

The break will also give a few players who have been carrying niggles to get back to full fitness with Andy O`Brien expected to be back for the Hull game after suffering a hamstring injury against Arsenal last week.

Luciano Becchio only returned to the side at Portsmouth on Saturday after suffering a back injury against Scunthorpe and Sanchez Watt looked to be carrying a hamstring injury when he was replaced on Saturday.

Hopefully Leeds will also have some new recruits to pick from in time for the Hull game, with Grayson confident of adding to his squad before the transfer window closes on Monday.
