Leeds United winger Max Gradel says he`s yet to be offered a new deal by Leeds despite going into the final year of his contract at Elland Road.

The Ivory Coast international and Leeds player of the year has been linked with a whole host of clubs during the summer including Premier League Fulham, Swansea City, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic.

Clubs from Europe have also shown and interest with French Ligue 1 pair, Lille and Paris St Germain as well as German Bundesliga side SV Hamburg keen on his services.

Reports during the summer suggested that there was an obstacle with the wage demands of Gradel, with Leeds offering less than half of what he was looking for.

Now according to a quote from Gradel in the Daily Express, he claims that he`s yet to receive a new contract offer, “”I can`t sign a deal when there is no deal. I`ve been waiting for a contract but I haven`t been offered a deal yet.
“I`ve said I want to take this club back into the Premier League, but you can`t guarantee what`s going to happen,” said Gradel.

Gradel netted eighteen times last season for Leeds as the club just missed out on a play off place in their first season back in the championship.

Leeds have already lost players like Jermaine Beckford, Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson in the past two seasons, who have been allowed to run down their contracts and leave for free.

Could this be heading the same way or will Leeds decide to cash in on their star winger?
