Leeds United have completed the permanent signing of Oliver Sarkic after a successful loan spell with the club.

The forward joined Leeds in the summer on a half-season loan from Portuguese giants Benfica and Leeds have moved to make the deal permanent after coming to the end of the initial loan period.

Sarkic has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Elland Road keeping him at the club until the summer of 2020 with the option of a further year.

He has made seven appearances for the development squad side this season, scoring five times, including the 4-3 win against Hull City today.

The 20-year-old, who has represented Montenegro at under-21 level, was born in Lincoln before moving to Belgium as a youngster.
