Former Leeds United favourite Andy Hughes is on the move again just six months after signing for Scunthorpe United from Leeds.

Hughes signed an eighteen-month contract at Glanford Park in January but has left to join fellow League One side Charlton Athletic on a free transfer.

The 33 year old has signed a two-year deal with the Addicks after making fifteen appearances for Scunthorpe last season.

Hughes was a firm fans favourite during his four and a half years at Elland Road.

The versatile player who played in a number of different positions at Leeds endeared himself to the Elland Road faithful with his 100% commitment.

Hughes made over 100 appearances during his time with Leeds and was an almost ever present in Leeds promotion season in 2009/10.

He paid an emotional farewell to Leeds in an interview on Yorkshire Radio following his departure, calling his time a magical four years at Elland Road.

Good luck to Hughesy.
