Leeds United are being linked with a move for former favourite Jonny Howson from Norwich City.

TeamTalk report that Leeds are ready to make a £4m move for the midfielder who made a shock departure for Carrow Road in January 2012.

Howson came through the Leeds academy and he made his debut for the club at just 18. He became a regular in the Leeds side over the next four seasons and he scored some crucial goals for the club. He scored twice in the play-off semi-final at Carlisle United to take Leeds to Wembley and he equalised for Leeds on the final day of the 2009/10 season as Leeds went on to win 2-1 and earn promotion to the Championship.

The 28-year-old made 225 appearances for Leeds before he left January 2012 despite being sidelined through injury.

Since his arrival at Carrow Road, he has been a regular for the Canaries and he has made 188 appearances but TeamTalk say Norwich are ready to listen to offer for Howson, with Burnley and Brighton also being linked.
