Former Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford has joined Championship big spenders Leicester City.

The striker has signed a four year deal for an initial £3 million rising to £4 million.

Just one season after leaving Leeds on a free transfer to join Premier League side Everton, he has dropped down into the championship despite netting ten and finishing the season as joint top scorer at Goodison Park.

Beckford enjoyed three highly successful seasons at Elland Road, netting 85 times.

He will be forever remembered for his goal at Old Trafford against Manchester United that secured Leeds a 1-0 FA Cup win.

Beckford also scored the goal that clinched promotion against Bristol Rovers on the final day of the 2009/10 season.

Leeds fans will now line up against two former favourites when they travel to Leicester on November 6th with Kasper Schmeichel also joining the Foxes in the summer.
