Player ratings by Vital Leeds editor Dazza71 who along with 4,000 plus other Leeds United fans were present at another battling performance against Premiership opposition in the FA Cup.

Ankergren 9 Star Man

Without Ankergren`s heroics in the first fifteen minutes the tie could have been over.
Great stop from Defoe very early on and an even better one to keep him out from the penalty spot.
He`s now put in two very positive and outstanding performances in the FA Cup against Premiership opposition and needs to continue this in the League.

Crowe 7
Was given a hard time by both Bale and Rose on the right hand side.
Got forward to help the midfield and attack when possible.

Bromby 7
Once again in the centre of defence in the absence of skipper, Richard Naylor.
Put in a very solid performance and along with Kisnorbo managed to keep Defoe and Crouch relatively quiet.

Kisnorbo 8
Continues to be the colossus at the heart of the Leeds defence.
Certainly looks like he could play in the Premiership, I would be more worried about someone trying to pry him away from Elland Road in this transfer window than anyone else.

Hughes 7
Similar to Crowe, was given a very hard time by the wing men of Spurs. Looks totally in control at the moment and as been excellent for the side since early December.

Howson 6
Only player I thought who played below par, went missing for long periods of the game as the rest of the midfield worked over time.

Had a great chance to equalise in injury time but decided not to shoot when in a great position.

Doyle 7
Once again did the dirty work in the midfield, broke up play really well and was snapping at the heels of Spurs players throughout.

Kilkenny 8
One of his best games in a Leeds shirt, looked totally at ease at this level. Like Doyle, he continuously broke up play with some great tackles and was given time to pick out players when on the ball.

Snodgrass 8
Ran himself into the ground and looked out on his feet for the last ten minutes but kept going to the death.
Had a couple of good chances to opening the scoring and forced Gomes into one great save.

Only minus was once again the quality of his final ball into the middle sometimes lacked quality and a failure to beat the first man.

Johnson 7
Worked hard, didn`t really get many chances in the attacking area but worked hard to win the ball for Leeds when we didn`t have possession.

Beckford 8
For those that still don`t think he can cut it at this level, he continues to prove the doubters wrong with both goals.

Could have scored at least one in the first half, screwed one wide when in a good position and then drew a great save out of Gomes.
In the right place to swivel and score the first equaliser.

Looked to have the pace to beat Dawson and finally got the defender to lunge in on him inside the penalty area to win the penalty in injury time.

To say he`d missed his last two spot kicks and the amount of time it took for him to take the kick, he showed great composure and self belief to give Gomes no chance.

Subs

Becchio 6

Came on for the final ten minutes and was his usual bustling self, could have had a strike on goal when he made himself a bit of room inside the area but decided to check and look for a player.

White 7
Only came on with a few minutes of normal time left but quickly got into the action and made a couple of good bursts at the Spurs defence.
Maybe time to give this lad a bit more time on the pitch on the left hand side in an attacking position and not at left back.

Summary
Fantastic performance, fantastic battling and fantastic fans.

What we really need to do now is get back to winning ways in the league on Tuesday at Swindon Town.
