LUFC Fans view v Hull City

Tiny T gives us his usual fans view, this time from the home game with Hull City.

Lonergan 8

Improving very quickly, crucial saves at key stages in the game just pipped for man of the match.

Lees 7
Unfortunate with the own goal, but did not let him detract from his performance and his finish to put us back in front was top drawer.

Kisnorbo 7
One or two dodgy moments but always around when needed.

O’Dea 7
Solid, he helped out White when the ball was in the air.

White 6
Caught out at times but stuck to his task, gets forward well and has pace we have lacked in this position, deserves a run in the side in a problem position for us.

Snodgrass 7
A great goal from the free kick and he also set up the opener. A much-improved performance, though should have fed others at times, who were in better positions.

Clayton 8
Hardly put a foot wrong, great engine and all round performance why did we put him out on loan last year and keep Kilkenny.

Brown 7
Tidy and unflustered game, with Clayton controlled the middle.

Nunez 7
He has an exquisite first touch at times, and a first League goal for Leeds. He can be a little lightweight defensively.

McCormack 8 Star man
Good goal and all round performance, really worked hard and revelled in having a partner up front to share the workload.

Keogh 8
He worked tirelessly up front, chased, harried and he has a good touch. A wise move to bring someone in.

Subs
Sam 5

Didn’t get up to speed quick enough.

Thompson
He was not on long enough but nice to see youth being given a chance.

Summary
Strong defence, inventive in the middle, great finishing, yes I am taking about Leeds. After the doom and gloom in the previous matches, tonight`s performance was a breath of fresh air.

Though to be fair on Saturday Boro struggled to break us down until we went down to nine men and then we had chances to get something out of the game.

Even though we got Hull back into the game, young Tom Lees is fast becoming a favourite with his performances, and when he put us back in front the Kop roof rose a couple of feet.
Lonergan crucial saves at the right time and so victory came our way and in the end we deserved it.

Grayson has a problem on Sunday, who if anyone drops out to allow the banned players back in? However, I can see us reverting to 4-5-1 at West Ham.

Let us not get carried away with one performance, but with more like this we will be nearer the top than the bottom.

Finally a note to the stay away fans we need you to support the team. Staying away in protest against Bates does nobody any favours, and as he says, he is going nowhere, so you are only cutting off your own nose to spite your face.

Get behind the lads and who knows where we’ll be in May and performances like this lift will everyone associated with the club.

Thanks Tiny for your views.
