Regular Vital Leeds contributor Tiny T gives us his regular no holds barred match report and ratings for the sides 3-1 victory over Hartlepool United.

Ankergren 7
Little trouble for Casper today and stood no chance with the goal as his defence went missing in action. A few regulation saves, will not get a much easier game

Bromby 6
Struggled in the first half and missing for the first goal as was much of the defence. An improved second half but distribution at times was woeful.

Naylor 5
Struggled for much of the game, was he carrying an injury? Another whose passing was poor.

Kisnorbo 7 Star man
Quiet start but got better as the match went on. A strong defensive performance.

Hughes 6
Completed 90 mins after an early injury scare. Some good blocks, but always needs to come back onto his right foot to clear, usually straight back to the opposition. Overlapped well at times.

Snodgrass 7
Grafted away and could have had the first goal but for a tremendous block by the Monkey Hangers defender who took the volley full in the face. Crossing is improving, but lacks variation.

Kilkenny 6
A lot of passes, often too many at times, needs to move the ball more quickly and get out of other players ways.

Doyle 5
Would have had him off at half time, poor first half, slightly improved in the second. When around the box, he needs to take responsibility and shoot.

Howson 6
Wasted yet again out wide, though the cross for the second goal was whipped in perfectly. More involved after Doyle went off.

Becchio 6
The usual game from him, never stops trying to upset the defenders and a deflected goal.

Beckford 7
Two good pieces of finishing, Hartlepool must be sick of him as he usually gets on the score sheet against them. Better performance from him but still room for improvement.

Subs
Johnson – 6 – Needs time on the pitch to get back to his best.
Gradel – 6 – Tricky but needs to put the ball into the box
Kandol – 5 – Put on late but seemed as though he was disinterested.

After a lung busting first 15 minutes when we should have been two up, we fell asleep at a corner and went 1-0 down by some poor defending.
A cheeky finish from Beckford saw the ball creep over the line in slow motion, a Becchio in off the defender saw us lead at half time.
A further Beckford strike sealed the game.

The defence was asleep for the goal, unusually it was Casper giving out the rollicking, a few moments later he handed out another to his defence, after weak defending again.

The middle took take too many passes to set us going, we need to move the ball quickly against teams who defend in numbers.

Howson is wasted out wide at it may be time to give Doyle a rest.

With the transfer window opening in January a Left and Right Back are a priority along with a striker who can add goals to the attack force as the ones on the bench are not up to it for me.

On a positive note, six points clear and a game in hand before the New Year.
We’d have taken that at the start of the season, its looking good and things can only get better.
