LUFC Fans view v Bradford

The fans view returns where a fan at the game gives us his views on the players performance.

In the hot seat last night was MojoLUAFC who believes the squad just isn`t strong enough after watching Leeds scrape past Bradford City in the Carling Cup.

A much needed win to get that winning feeling early on in the season. I would`ve preferred three points rather than another round in the cup but a wins a win.

Lonergan 6
Distribution was shocking at times, even when throwing the ball. He is going to have to step up with our shaky defence in front of him.

Connolly 6
Seemed to struggle on the right, which was where Bradford attacked a lot. Pushed up well and got back to defend when needed.

O`Brien 5
To me he had a nightmare, second to everything including headers. Couldn`t do simple passes, kept being caught out in our own third, which cost us the second goal. Rightly subbed.

Kisnorbo 7
Solid in the air but made some mistakes at ground level, still not 100% match fit in my eyes.

Parker 5
He`s not the answer to the left back problem, too slow for the first goal but ok as a squad player, as of now.

Sam 8
Although he isn`t Max he did very well, gave us an option down the right and delivered some good crosses.

Nunez 7
Does look good on the ball but he sprayed a few passes all over. Well taken goals and just needs a run in the team and he will be a real force.

Clayton 8.5 Man of the Match
Ran for everything, had a secure game and linked up well with Brown and Nunez.

Brown 7
Better than his debut, he wasn`t reckless this time but his passing wasn`t the best.

Jonny 7
His tackling and determination was excellent, some sloppy passes that could have been costly but looks very much like a captain.

McCormack 7
Missed a couple of good chances but took his header well. Struggled at 5- 4- 1 because he`s not quick enough and too small, improved when we changed to 4- 4- 2.

Subs

Lees 7

Came on to change the back four, which was shaky. Looked good and not out of place at all, Larry needs to keep him playing for confidence.

Bromby 7
Desperately needed to get O`Brien off but defensive headers went straight back to Bradford as usual. Don`t understand why Bruce isn`t getting a shout.

Taylor
Not enough time on the pitch.

We really did miss Max and Snodgrass, which proves to me the squad is not strong enough.

Thanks for your thoughts Mojo.
