Vital Leeds looks at the head to head record between Derby County and Leeds United in the midlands over the years.

The two sides have a very close record at Derby. They have met on 53 occasions with Derby winning 20, Leeds 19 and 14 draws.

The first ever meeting between the sides came during the 1921/22 season when Derby won 2-0.

Leeds enjoyed their first victory the following season when they came away from the Baseball Ground with a 1-0 win.

It wasn`t until the 13th meeting between the sides that they shared the points in a 2-2 draw during the 1937/38 season.

The two sides have met on nine occasions since Derby moved to Pride Park.

Both sides have won three games and there have also been three draws.

The last meeting between the sides came in the Carling Cup during the 2008/09 season.

There was one division separating the sides with Derby in the Championship and Leeds in League One.

Two early goals for Derby helped them to a 2-1 win.
