Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson needs to avoid a yellow card in just one more game to avoid an automatic two-match suspension.

Jansson is currently on nine yellow cards this season and he is just one yellow card away from suspension under the totting up system over the season.

The cut-off date for ten yellow cards during the season coming after the game at Reading this Saturday. Leeds are short of cover at centre back with Conor Shaughnessy out long-term and Liam Cooper forced off in the defeat against Wolves with what looks an injury that will keep him out of the side for a while.

Jansson now needs to be on his best behaviour at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, having now avoided a yellow card in his last seven games.

The Swedish international avoided his tenth yellow card of the season in the 3-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday evening and if he can avoid a yellow card against Reading on Saturday he will need to pick up fifteen yellow cards over the course of the season to serve a three-match suspension.
