Leeds United have agreed a deal with Middlesbrough to sign Adam Forshaw.

The Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that the midfielder will undergo a medical at Leeds tomorrow and will hopefully agree a deal with the player in time for him to feature against Millwall this weekend.

Forshaw, who is contracted to Middlesbrough until 2020, has chosen Leeds ahead of Championship rivals Cardiff City.

The 26-year-old has played 14 times for Middlesbrough this season but he has not featured since the win against Ipswich Town on December 9th.

Forshaw made 34 appearances for Middlesbrough in the Premier League last season and he played a key part in helping them win promotion from the Championship in 2015/16, when he made 34 appearances.

The midfielder started his career with Everton, where he made just two appearances and he has also had spells with Brentford and Wigan Athletic, making over 200 career appearances.
