Calum Davenport who has been having a trial at Thorp Arch with Leeds United has returned home to London to decide his future.

West Ham released the former Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur player earlier this year having not played since last August after being stabbed in both legs during a domestic incident.

Since then the former England under 21 international has also had trials with Nottingham Forest but as yet to sign for a club.

Speaking on the official website, Leeds boss Simon Grayson said, “He has gone back to London to sort a few things and to decide what he wants to do. It`s a decision he has made.”

Grayson also said that he hasn`t offered the big central defender a contract yet but will wait to see what decision Davenport makes about his own future.
