Neil Swarbrick will take charge of tonight`s Carling Cup first round tie between Darlington and Leeds United.

Swarbrick was in charge of the Watford v Doncaster Rovers clash in the Championship on Saturday. He managed to keep his book in his pocket for the whole game, which is a rarity currently.
Only blot on performance was his failure to award a goal to Rovers when the ball had clearly crossed the line.

Last season he refereed 36 games, showing 82 yellow cards and 4 reds.

The last time he was in charge of Darlington was in the 2007/08 season when they lost 2-1 at home against Mansfield Town, Swarbrick infuriated the Darlington supporters when he showed Alan White a straight red card shortly before half time.

He was in charge of Leeds twice last season, the embarrassing cup exit at Histon and Leeds 2-0 home win over MK Dons.

Referee: N. Swarbrick (Lancashire)
Assistants: M. Brown & D A McCallum
Fourth official: G. Eltringham
