Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has received a late call-up to the Scotland squad.

The defender, who made just his second league start of 2017 against Brighton on Saturday, will join up with the squad ahead of the games with Slovenia and Canada in the next ten-days.

Cooper is yet to make a senior appearance for Scotland although he was part of the squad in March 2016 for their friendly with Denmark He has represented them at both under 17 and 19 level.

Scotland face Canada in an international friendly on Wednesday March 22nd at Hibernian and they will then face Slovenia in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday March 26th.

Cooper is now the sixth member of the Leeds squad to be called up for international duty this week.

Eunan O`Kane (Republic of Ireland), Stuart Dallas (Northern Ireland), Chris Wood (New Zealand), Pontus Jansson (Sweden) and Mo Barrow (Gambia) are also away with their respective countries.
