Young Leeds United defender Conor Shaughnessy has signed a new four-year deal with the club after breaking into the first team this season.

Shaughnessy has made six appearances for Leeds so far this season helping them climb to the top of the Championship table and he starred in the Carabao Cup win at Burnley in midweek.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international joins Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Tyler Denton, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Eunan O’Kane, Kalvin Phillips, Malik Wilks and Ronaldo Vieira in signing new deals at the club since the start of the summer.
