Leeds United have signed Neil Collins for an undisclosed fee from Preston North End.
The central defender who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Elland Road for the final two months of last season has signed a three-year contract.
He becomes Leeds fifth signing of the season as Simon Grayson strengthens his squad ahead of the new Championship season.
Speaking about Collins on the official website, Grayson said, “Neil has plenty of experience at Championship level and he is another important addition to our squad.”
The 26-year-old made nine appearances in the run in last season after injury ruled out regular centre back Patrick Kisnorbo for the remainder of the season.
Collins put in a number of excellent displays at the back helping Leeds to win five of their last nine games to clinch automatic promotion.
