Second play third in a early season top of the table clash when Leeds travel to Colchester on Saturday.

Form

Colchester

The U`s lost their first league game of the season on Saturday when going down 2-1 at MK Dons.

Colchester made all the headlines on the opening day when they put seven past Norwich at Carrow Road.

Norwich were so impressed they sacked boss Bryan Gunn and appointed Colchester boss Paul Lambert to replace him.

Colchester`s other two league fixtures saw them record 2-1 home victories over Yeovil and Gillingham.

Leeds

The Whites have won all six games so far this season in all competitions.

It needed extra time on Tuesday before they finally saw off Championship side Watford 2-1 in the Carling Cup.

Leeds have won four out of four in the league, they have enjoyed home victories over Exeter and Tranmere and enjoyed success on their travels at Wycombe and Walsall.

History

The two clubs have only ever met six times in their history.

Probably the most famous encounter was when Fourth Division Colchester knocked out Don Revie`s Leeds United superstars 3-2 in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup in 1971.

On Leeds three previous visits to Colchester, they have lost two and won one, Leeds solitary victory coming last season when they won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Luciano Becchio.
